Part of the reason that I chose to come to Ohio Northern was how absolutely phenomenal their bar passage rate was. I knew when I walked in that it was a really good chance that I was coming out passing the bar on the first time, which is a large achievement. And they also offer coursework that is specifically geared towards making sure that you are prepared to take the bar before you leave for the final time.
Law school is completely different from undergrad, we expect students to struggle. We expect students to not know everything that they need to know in the first week of classes. I understand that. Our professors here understand that. And we will assist you in any way that we can to get you through the bar exam and on to a legal career.
We help students not only navigate professionally through their law school career, but also personally. As law school is a three year period, a lot of things can happen. Faculty members went out of their way to help me when I was here, and now I want to be able to go out of my way to help students, whether that's bar prep, or whether that's job opportunities. I want to be able to give them the opportunities that I had because my experience at ONU was amazing.
Unlike some other places, we continually are born anew to accomplish the goal, the mission of meeting the students where they are. It means we leaned into practical legal education long before a lot of other places, and we perfected the way to deliver that, and you see that in our clinics and our externships and our simulated experiential learning classes. We are constantly looking to the future while relying upon our past to steer us in the right direction, and that's what you get with a law school that's been around for 140 years.
